I love this site. I'm originally from Newark New Jersey where I was able to purchase Taylor Ham anytime I wanted. Now that I live in Texas, every grocery store that I have gone to; they haven't heard about taylor ham. I'll be placing an order soon since the Walmarts nor grocery stores don;t have taylor ham! The best dogs at the best prices. Compare the shipping costs, $11.00 vs. over $50.00 everywhere else. You'd have to have a needle hanging out of your arm to order anywhere else. Added: May 6, 2008 |

I am originally from Kenilworth NJ and I now live in Upstate NY, but I miss NJ every day! I can not find Taylor Ham, Tastycake Krimpets, Funny Bones and Yodels just to name a few things, I was so happy when I found this site, it helps me be a little less homesick Added: April 25, 2008 |

I'm Cyndi's New Mexico transplant and I miss pork roll, tastycakes, and cheesestea**o much. When I was little we went to the same family restaurant and they used to call me the "Pork Roll Kid" because that was all I ever ordered- no matter the holiday, season, or time of day. Even though I live far away, in my heart, I'm a Jersey Girl, and still the PORK ROLL KID! Added: April 6, 2008 |

I am doing "rescue" work for my two Trenton, NJ friends transplanted in Virginia and New Mexico. We went to St. Anthony High together in Trenton, NJ. They can't get pork roll (not even Taylor Ham or Tastykakes, which I can still get in Nutley). But I can't get the real Trenton Pork Roll up here. Now if only I could get Philly cheesteaks and good tomato pies (We have pizza) here and REAL hoagies. Added: April 5, 2008 |

hey now,we now live in SW Florida.Work retail meat dept for Wal-Mart(I know,my fault)There's always a touch of home when someone asks where the Taylor Pork Roll is located and I answer;back in Jersey.Fortunately the local Public Supermarkets carry this delectable staple and I can save the tourist/visitor/newbe/myself from a day without porkroll,ha.Since the early sixties this has/was a great quick meal.Saturday was always Pork Roll for lunch on the great hardrolls that only northern bakeries produced.Memories,PRICLESS. I grew up on "pork roll" and that is what we called it. I now live in Lousiana and miss it more than I can say. Whenever I go home for a visit I bring back as much as I can fit in my luggage! Pork Roll is just the best as far as I am concerned and no one here understands what it is and how good it really is. Also they can't imagine a meat you can eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I guess I have to bring some back to show them what they are all missing! Added: March 13, 2008 |

Hi, Nice website, glad you're here! I grew up in Queens, but have lived in Southern California for the last 30 years. As a kid, my mother would bring home 'cold cuts' for lunch along with hard rolls of course. The cold cuts often included 'Taylor ham' and another product which was square and refered to as 'spiced ham'. Everywhere I now read about Taylor ham, cooking is mentioned. I'm sure the thinly sliced 'Taylor ham' we ate must have been cooked, yes? I haven't had it in years, but I'm ready! So, does it come cooked in the roll? Thanks, John Added: February 29, 2008 |
