HELP!!!!!!! I move from the Garden State 2 Years ago. They have no food here. I need all those Jersey flavors. What they have for pizza is scary. They have no bakeries. No Jimmy Buffs, no Harolds Deli, no dunkin donuts and espicially NO PORK ROLL. Thank God I found you. At least I will have some real food. Added: November 18, 2009 |

Born and raised in Jersey and Oh! How I miss summers "Down the Shore"! Walking the boards in Seaside Heights as a teenager and smelling the mixure of salt air and grilling foods from the stands! Do they still have The Hymalaya ride?...."Do you vant to go faster?!" Now, I try and explain to Mid-westerners that special treat that was and what pork roll is! Now I can let them taste it!!! I grew up in NJ, but moved to Calif in 1986. Talk about different food - whoa! This IS another planet! I grew up with Taylor Ham as a huge part of our lives. When I found your site I had tears in my eyes from such happiness (lol) & ordered right away! I could smell it cooking even before it got here! I am a customer for life! NJ rocks!! My family lived in Brooklawn, then Pine Hill New Jersey for several years in the 1950's. In the summer we would take day trips to Atlantic City and Wildwood Beach. Our favorite boardwalk food was a pork roll sandwich! I loved it plain with bread. Mom often bought a whole roll. I loved to help her cut back the burlap covering and slice the meat. I can still smell it cooking! There were 7 in my family so there never seemed to be enough pork roll. Thank you for keeping up a great tradition and not changing a thing about your product. I grew up eating pork roll..I remember going to my grandparents house and my grandfather making his specialty. Taylor ham, eggs and cheese with ketchup and black pepper on a hard roll. Absolutely the best breakfast, lunch or dinner you can have. I will be placing my order soon.. Added: October 7, 2009 |
